Is there good snowshoeing in Méribel?

Yes - snowshoes go on right at the door of Chalet L'Orée, Our favourite route is through the forest to Refuge de la Traye, one of the first luxury mountain refuges of its kind. Armadillo's concierge team arranges the guide, equipment and restaurant booking in advance.

Chalet L'Orée sits on its own stretch of hillside above Les Allues, garden and forest running down to a stream, with the fire pit terrace built into the slope looking out over both.

Indoors, living, dining and kitchen open into one room, built for the whole party to be together - around the fire, around the table, or perched in the window seat with a book and the view. Downstairs, wellness: an indoor pool, traditional hammam and a fully equipped gym - space to unwind before or after a day on the slopes. Upstairs, the same hand continues: raw timber beams, contemporary by design, holding five en-suite bedrooms, including two master suites.
