Yes - Verbier is one of the best places in Europe to heli-ski. The surrounding terrain offers
exceptional descents accessible only by helicopter, including routes through untouched powder in
the Mont Blanc and Grand Combin massifs. It requires a guide and good off-piste ability.
Armadillo's concierge arranges heli-ski experiences for guests - including guiding, permits, and
logistics — as part of our standard concierge offering.

Verbier's off-piste is world-class - widely considered among the best lift-accessed backcountry
skiing in Europe. The classic routes from Mont-Fort and Chassoure descend through open bowls
and technical couloirs, with options ranging from challenging to genuinely extreme. For serious
skiers, a day with a private guide unlocks terrain that most resorts simply don't have. Armadillo
arranges private off-piste guides as part of our concierge service.

Verbier is an excellent choice for non-skiers - the village is lively, walkable, and genuinely interesting independent of the mountain. Restaurants, boutiques, a sports centre, and spa facilities provide plenty off the slopes, and cable cars give non-skiers easy access to mountain restaurants for lunch with the group. Winter walking trails, ice skating, and snowshoeing are all available. A private chalet gives non-skiers a warm, staffed base to return to at any point in the day, not a hotel room to wait in alone.

Verbier in summer is a genuinely different resort - quieter in pace but far from quiet in atmosphere. The mountain transforms into hiking, e-biking, and mountain biking terrain, with lifts running through July and August opening up high-altitude trails above 3,000 metres. The village comes alive with an exceptional events calendar: the world-renowned Verbier Festival brings classical music to the Alps each July, alongside rock festivals, electronic music events, yoga retreats, and a buzzing restaurant scene that rivals the winter season. For groups looking for an alpine retreat with genuine energy, Verbier in summer is seriously underrated.
